Große Balderschwanger Runde
This Three Summit Tour is one of the longest Ski Tour in Balderschwang area. The tour takes in the beautiful slopes and summits of the Girenkopf, Heidenkopf and Siplinger Kopf. However, caution is required on the 40 degrees gully of the Girenkopf and stable snowpack condition are required. The suggested route allows for numerous variants and can be shortened or extended as you desired
Girenkopf (1683 m)
Ascent
From the parking travel NNE towards the Unt. Balderschwanger-Aple, continue to follower the road 1km until you have reached the Obere Socher Aple (1260m). From here turn W and continue 2 km, passing the Obere Balsterschwanger-Aple, until you have reached the Spicherhalde-Aple,. Cross the flat meadow NNW to reach the South face of the Girenkopf and ascend it via its western flank.
Descent
From the Girenkopf summit take the 40-degree steep gully down to the E towards Lecknertal.
Heidenkopf (1685 m)
Ascent
From the blow, climb up the Heidenkopf via moderately steep west face of the Heidenkopf north ridge. During the last few meters of this climb i fixed line is used to ascend a narrow gutter, skis will also have to removed at this point.
Descent
From the summit of the Heidenkopf enjoy the gentle to moderately steep NE slope to Siplinger Alpe (1400m).

Siplinger Kopf (1746 m)
Ascent
From the Siplinger Alpe travel SE up the NW flank of the Siplinger Kopf. The line here becomes increasingly steeper, which is very steep at the end to the summit.
Descent
From the summit of the Siplinger Kopf descent south 30m to access the hollow bordered with rocks. Follow the hollow approx 300m SW until you reach the ramp then a natural path between the trees. Continue to traverse SW for another 1 km until you reach the open where the Obere Balderschwanger-Aple and be found. At the Aple reverse yours steps back the to carpark.
